First blog of 2012

  It's a new year and a new chance to do things better this year. I'm very happy with how much I have grown, as an artist, and I have so many wonderful friends to thank for that. They all teach me something differently, push me further than I would go myself, and help me make mistakes into masterpieces. These friends, and family, with their kind thoughts, encouragement, and most importantly their prayers got me through a tough year. I've had to deal with severe hypothyroidism, thyroid cancer, surgery, and radiation. I've had a 6 mo check up in December, and things are looking great so far! I feel better than I have in years!

   This picture is from the SMAA December Show. It's called "Haitian Market", Oil 12x12". This painting won best in show.
